WhatToEat is a free, experimental tool to help you decide where to eat in Singapore. By using it you agree to these terms.

As-is, no guarantees

The service is provided "as is", for fun and convenience. Restaurant listings, ratings, prices, distances and opening hours come live from Google, while some location classifications use public Singapore government datasets. Either source may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date — always check before you head down. We're not liable for a closed shop or a sold-out laksa.

Google Maps content

WhatToEat uses Google Maps. Restaurant listings, ratings, reviews, photos and opening hours are provided live by Google, and your use of those features is subject to Google's Maps Platform Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Singapore government open data

Contains information from the Hawker Centres (GEOJSON) dataset and the Master Plan 2025 Planning Area Boundary (No Sea) dataset, accessed on 19 July 2026 from data.gov.sg and made available under the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0. We adapt this information into our own product classifications; those classifications are not official government determinations.

Not affiliated

We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Google, the Singapore Government, the National Environment Agency, the Urban Redevelopment Authority, data.gov.sg, or any of the restaurants shown. A listing's appearance here is not a recommendation by those organisations or businesses.

Fair use

Don't abuse, scrape, overload, or misuse the service, and don't use it for anything unlawful. We may rate-limit or block misuse to keep the service running (and our costs sane).

Advertising and sponsorships

We may display advertising or clearly labelled sponsored content to support the service. Paid placements will not be presented as organic crowd rankings. Third-party offers and destinations remain the responsibility of their providers.
